Precision-cut vinyl lettering and logos, weeded and premasked for easy install on almost any surface
Cut vinyl lettering is the cleanest, longest-lasting way to put words and simple graphics on a vehicle, window, wall, or sign. There's no printing and no laminate — the color goes all the way through the vinyl, so it won't fade, bubble, or peel at the edges the way printed decals can.
Overview
We cut your lettering out of solid-color adhesive vinyl on a commercial plotter, weed out the excess, and apply transfer tape so the whole layout comes off the backer in one piece. You peel the backing, press it onto your surface, and lift the transfer tape — your letters are installed in perfect alignment with no spacing guesswork. Great for one or two colors. For multi-color designs or photographs, see our printed decals.

Popular Uses
Storefront hours and address numbers, van and truck lettering (DOT numbers, company name, phone), boat names and hull numbers, real estate and yard signs, door and wall graphics, office glass, church signage, vehicle tailgate and quarter-panel graphics, memorial text, and two-color team logos for coolers, trailers, and equipment.
Why Choose Ink Spot Printing
We handle tricky layouts — multi-line text with proper kerning, logos combined with text, curved baselines for boat names and window arches, and scripts that need care when weeding. If you hand us a fuzzy photo of your truck with measurements, we'll lay it out to scale, send a proof showing exact placement, and cut once you approve. For larger jobs we offer a site visit to measure and plan on the actual vehicle or surface.
Frequently Asked Questions
What's the difference between cut vinyl and printed decals?
Cut vinyl is a single solid color — the vinyl itself is that color all the way through, and we cut out the shape of your letters or logo. Printed decals are digitally printed in full color on white vinyl, then laminated. Cut vinyl lasts longer and costs less per square inch, but is limited to one or two colors. Printed decals are required for photos, gradients, or multi-color artwork.
How many colors can I have?
We typically do one or two colors with cut vinyl. Each additional color means a separate cut, separate weeding, and careful layering during install — so price goes up with each color. Three or more colors usually make more sense as a printed decal.
Do you offer installation?
Yes. Simple lettering (hours on a window, address numbers) is easy enough for most customers to install themselves with the premasked layout. For vehicle lettering, large wall graphics, and site-specific jobs, we offer professional installation.
Can vinyl lettering be removed later?
Yes, within the vinyl's rated life. Heat softens the adhesive and it peels cleanly off factory-painted surfaces and glass. Older vinyl (5+ years in sun) can get brittle and may need a citrus-based adhesive remover to clean up residue.
How fast can you turn this around?
Single-color lettering jobs under 6 square feet are typically cut, weeded, and ready the same or next business day. Complex multi-color layouts or large jobs take 2-5 business days depending on schedule.
